The following advanced notification has been received from Highland Council regarding Planned Road works on the  A831 Glenurquhart Polamily to Kilmartin  Bridges.  Should you have any comments please email me at chairglencc@gmail.com

“I write to inform you of an upcoming scheme that will involve significant work at four bridges on the A831 between Drumnadrochit and Cannich.

Two of the bridges are to be replaced:

A further two bridges are to be waterproofed:

Kilmartin Farm - https://goo.gl/maps/2M8mP3kBURyfsCWQ8

The work has been designed so that only lane closures should be required at each bridge for the duration of the scheme.

This scheme has recently gone out to Tender with the intention of appointing a Contractor by the middle of April 2023.

The work is anticipated to take place between June and December of 2023, however firm dates and durations at each bridge site will not be known until a Contractor is in place.

We would welcome any comments or questions you might have in connection with this scheme.  It would be particularly helpful to learn of any events planned in the area that might be affected by this scheme.

Kind regards,
